Historical Background
The first library of Fara in Sabina was established in 1960; initially housed in private premises, it was moved in 1972 to the Casa Comunale, and later relocated to the Monte Frumentario building, where it remained until 2000. At the same time, in 1976, due to population growth, a second branch of the library was opened in the fraction of Passo Corese. Thanks to funding from the Lazio Region, it was furnished and the first important volumes were purchased, which laid the foundation of its book collection.
Services
The library is organised according to the open-shelf model meaning except for a few ones, books can be freely taken from the shelves for reference and borrowing.
Online Catalogue
The catalog of libraries registered in the Sebina Next program of the Lazio Region, including the Fara in Sabina library, can be consulted online in the OPAC SBN database.
